Did you know?

  • The majority of donations do not involve surgery. Today, the patient's doctor most often requests a peripheral blood stem cell (PBSC) donation, which is non-surgical.
  • Every 4 minutes someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with a blood cancer.
  • Only 4 out of 10 blood cancer patients searching for a donor in the Be The Match registry can find a match.

Let's increase our chances together

TeamUp Asia - More Asians and part Asians in bone marrow donor registries
Thanks to intensive research leukemia patients and patients of other blood diseases have a chance to be healed. Often a bone marrow transplantation is needed.

Due to the lack of Asians and part Asians in bone marrow donor registries most of the time a matching donor can‘t be found. Together we can change this!

_When ethnicity matters
For bone marrow transplantation racial and ethnic heritage are very important factors. Because tissue types are inherited, patients are most likely to match someone of their own race or ethnicity.

More Asian donors needed
It's on us to increase our chances and become potential donors for each other, our friends and their families, and any other Asian or part Asian in urgent need of a life-saving marrow match!

The power of social media

Together we can save lives! Please help us to raise awareness and spread the word within your family, Asian friends and colleagues. Use the power of social media for the good!
